Breast Reduction

A breast reduction is also known as reduction mammaplasty and is a cosmetic procedure for correcting oversized breasts.

Oversized breasts can be saggy in appearance and can cause a women to suffer from back, head, neck & shoulder pain and can also lead to other medical problems such as poor blood circulation, breathing difficulties and rashes or chafing around the breast area as-well as limited mobility and the ability to carry out physical activities.

Large oversized breasts can be hereditary or be due to weight gain, the menopause or pregnancy.

Excess breast tissue, fat and skin are removed, and reshaping is done. Liposuction may be necessary to remove excess fat in the armpit area. This procedure takes about two to three hours. Scarring will vary among patients.
